We are so, SO excited to share with you all that our very own founder and creative sock maven Hannah Lavon will be included in the new book “Girls Who Run The World: 31 CEOs Who Mean Business” by journalist Diana Kapp and illustrated by amazing and talented Bijou Karman! The book contains inspirational interviews from super cool female founders and gives actionable tips for starting and creating businesses. It’s purpose is to inspire young girls in becoming future CEOS or to be in positions of power when they grow up! The book not only features the story of Hannah and Pals Socks, but famous names like SoulCycle, StitchFix, and 23andMe!
On Day of the Girl October 11th, Diana asked Hannah what advice she would give to her 13 year old self. “… Back to me at 13. I was not overly happy at age 13. Middle School was very hard. I had a small stutter, way less than elementary school but not totally gone. I was probably a more kind of oddball in my hoity toity Great Neck NY school. I was a unique person, an open minded artsy tomboy in a sea of fit-in-or-die, entitlement and vapidness. It was very hard to be myself and stay positive. I’m SO happy I didn’t lose sight of who I was or what I wanted to achieve in this world.” YOU DO YOU!
On October 17th, Hannah also had the opportunity to travel with Diana to a few different schools in the Philadelphia area and talk to kids about feminism, female empowerment and what it’s like to be your own boss!
We will have this inspiring book, Girls Who Run the World, on the Pals website in the very near future, so stay tuned! We can’t wait to share this book with you!
