Charity

It’s important to Pals that we support other organizations with similar values and goals of helping our world come together, and making our existence a happier place. We are happy to be able to spread the good vibes.
The PACER Center
April 2017 to present

The Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (also knowns as PACER) expands opportunities and enhances the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents. Founded in 1977 and based in Minnesota, they also are passionate about bullying prevention. They have many powerful anti-bullying campaigns and resources, which is amazing. We are donating a % of our profits to PACER during the course of our partnership!

That Lucky Bracelet
January to March 2017

Pals is currently having a buy 1, give 1 program with That Lucky Bracelet! Founded by (then 9 year old) Sophie Harris, now a teenager, TLB has the simple goal of spreading joy to hospitalized kids. TLB creates one of a kind “Smile Packages” that are sent or hand delivered, full of toys, gifts and activities. It’s super nice to help these kids fight loneliness and isolation, and brighten their day with a fun package. Sophie started That Lucky Bracelet when she was in the hospital with a chronic illness, and now the organization has 8 branches throughout the United States.

Facing History
October to December 2016

Facing History and Ourselves is a nonprofit international educational and professional development organization that believes in the power of education to help young people combat racism, prejudice, and bigotry. In today’s world, where we have become more polarized than ever, Facing History equips educators and youth with skills that allow them to wrestle with today’s difficult issues through the lens of history. Teachers work closely with students to examine complex themes like identity, discrimination, and leadership. Students are challenged to make personal connections between the past and their present, between others and themselves. We believe that by empowering youth, they will build a more engage, moral, and compassionate society who will change the world for the better.

Check out our announcement on our blog, where we talk to their head of marketing, Aileen about why she chose to work with Facing History, what they are all about and why they are a great partner for Pals Socks!

Design For Change USA
July to September 2016

Design for Change USA is part of a global movement of young people who are doing good and being good. We strive to empower young change makers to create meaningful community changes in their own schools/communities using a simple four-step process: Feel, Imagine, Do, Share. Through this process, young people begin to realize that they are not helpless, change is possible, and they can drive it. Yes we can!

Check out our announcement on our blog, where we talk to founder Sanjli about her role in bringing this great organization to the USA, why DFC is important and why she does what she does!
